Shifty was bred by Shirley & Ivan Layzell and we are indebted for this lovely boy!

He is one of the softest and daftest cats on earth - he is so soppy he named himself - when he was a baby all we ever seemed to say to him was 'shift over, will you..', hence Shifty. The 'Bob' came when he consistently won Best of Best (BOB) as a kitten and it just stuck!

He is a fantastic ambassador for the breed and he did strut his stuff on the NFCC Breed Club table in 2005 - he wowed passers by with his personality and certainly attracted lots of attention.

Shifty is now 6 years old and is still sometimes shown - he has lots of Reserve Imperial Certificates, but sadly just one Imperial Certificate - we live in hope however!

Shifty loves to meet visitors and has persuaded more than one person looking for a Norwegian kitten that black and white is the colour to have! He enjoys being out in the cat garden and will generally only stay indoors for a few hours before deciding that it is time to venture back out - rain and snow worries him not - the dirtier he can get, the happier he is!

As can be seen in the next picture, Shifty does like the snow!

In the pictures below Shifty can be seen, in true Shifty-style, wrecking Jan's set when she and Alan came to take some calendar shots of the cats. Shifty had a great time just rolling around - pose? No way!
